The High Finance restaurant and bar sits atop the 10,678 foot (elevation) Sandia Crest overlooking Albuquerque. This two mile high dining experience affords (at night) a view of the lights of Albuquerque one mile below.
The restaurant can be reached by the Peak Tramway or by a motorway winding its way up the back (east side) of the Sandia Mountains. The Tramway, built in 1965 and 1966, is still North America’s longest aerial tram, and is the third longest tramway in the world.
The base of the tram is in the northeast corner of Albuquerque, on Tramway Boulevard. “Flights” take 15 minutes, one flight leaves both the top and the bottom
four times an hour.
